Installing a GoAA pickup in Nancy Wilson's Takamine
Suggestions for bridge plate pickup installation...
Hi all, I have 4 TRANCE audio installs imminent... these pickups are glued to the bridge plate similar to the KK audio processes... do any of you have any PRO tips on the adhesive to use, placement ideas (possibly different than manufacturer suggestions, etc) and such? Trance Audio suggests E6000 adhesive...but I'm hoping to find something that transfers the vibration in the best manner... (Hide glue??) These are for live performing ac…
Covered versus uncovered humbucker A/B testing
Hey, fellow Looths. I need a small favour… Short version: Go to https://statuesque-cocada-438199.netlify.app and listen and vote. It takes about a minute. Longer version: A friend’s son is studying music and audio production in college and is working on a project to test the covered versus uncovered humbucker question. He reached out to me for some help and I’m reaching out to you. He designed a solid experiment (even modding a guitar so…

Thoughts on tone control pots
Howdy gang! I was recently trying to find something in my shop and came across a box of 500k linear taper pots. I always use audio taper for volume, but what do you guys and gals think of audio versus linear taper for tone control? I've seen both used, but it's been a bit since I wired a guitar from scratch and can't remember which I prefer. Thoughts?
Question about using a resister in parallel for volume and tone pots
I need a couple long-shaft 250K audio taper pots for a single vol/tone guitar. Technically I need long(er) shaft; has to be 3/8" on top of the friction washer. I've got 500K pots in stock, actual long-shaft. I could use a 500K resister in parallel, but I've heard it will alter the taper. Can anyone tell me how the taper will be altered? Not sure what to expect.

I emailed mojotone on their "push push" and i emailed the supplier tedss for any help in direction. Does anyone here know of any pots that are made in th…
