Friends, I am looking for a wiring schematic that shows how to set up 2 humbuckers, each with their own Volume pot -- no Tone in this circuit. Everything I have has some type of Tone control in the circuit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

In the process of evaluating the repairs needed on this guitar I checked to see if the truss rod was working. There is hole in the transverse brace where you would normally insert a truss rod, but all I see is the end of a metal bar with a smallish hole in the center. I tried several allen wrenches that would fit in the hole, but nothing seems to grab. Did they really eliminate the adjustable truss rod on this vintage reproduction? Here'…

Got a 60’s Hofner bass coming in that is noisy and feeds back (according to the owner). Thoughts on why? Any chance taking out the control plate screws could be an issue?

Friends - I have an unexpected problem with my 1989 P Bass-Plus. I suspect that the Series-Parallel switch is grounding out (ie, short circuiting) when the 3-position pickup selector is in the P pickup position (disengaging the J pickup and all 3 pickups). I am waiting for feedback from Fender as to whether there is both a wiring diagram for this bass and the possibility of getting a direct replacement switch. Has anyone worked on these…

Refretted my Yamaha Studio Lord 550 with jumbo frets. This is my second fret job. First was on a bolt-on BC Rich neck. The Studio Lord (Les Paul copy) was my first set neck project. It is pretty good. No fretting out. I set the action at 4.5/64 on bass and 3.5/64 on the high strings. Today I noticed that if I bend a high F to G (13th fret on first string), the note frets out (I can get to F # no problem by bending from the 13th).

Hey all. I have an '82 Ibanez Roadster bass on the bench. The bridge pickup is their Super J4. My customer wants to tame the noise as much as possible. I've shielded the cavities to minimal effect so I'm thinking of wax potting it but before I do I just want to ask your opinions. So, I have a chinese or DIY like 2 band bass preamp installed on a one pickup Ibanez bass. However, I'm stuck in the process of getting it connected. Basically the preamp has these connection cables: Red - 9v Black - Ground White - preamp out Blue - preamp in Yellow - Treble (?) Orange - Bass (?) The circuit has 1 pickup,1 vol, 1 concentric (bass/treble). I'm stuck connecting the concentric pot. Could you help me with that, please?

Hi Gang, Has anyone switched out the plastic, 8 pin box output 18 volt active/battery switch output jack on a P Bass special for a standard TRS output jack or some other? I just got off the phone with Fender and they don't make this anymore and they recommend replacing with another plastic box from Molex and are sending a wiring diagram. I have a Fender Jazz Bass Special in. Looking to upgrade some caps and resistor per client. I found this "TBX"? tone pot inside. I don't think I've encountered one with the additional lug on the back end. Any help as to if this is a TBX or similar and the functions of the pot? Thanks!

Initial frequency analysis of this D28 copy (done with a temporary 35g bolt-on bridge and the back plate taped on) is VERY LOW. Main air resonance 83.5hz and top monopole 156.6. It's standard Martin scalloped X-bracing with a torrefied Adirondack top.
