I acquired this old single cut JR around 6 years ago. Was aware of the previous breaks and repairs, wasn't a particular concern as I acquired through trade. I've got this Telecaster pickup (1969). The pickup works. Is it possible to flatten the top without gluing it down to the windings? Clamping lightly with a caul slotted for the magnets seats it nicely but I'm not sure how to make it stay there. Any experience with this? Suggestions?

What holders/jigs/vise devices have you built to hold an acoustic guitar body upright? I saw Michael Bashkin using something like this in his neck reset video. I’d like a way to clamp the guitar to the side of the bench while I work on the neck.

I have dented the finish in the soundboard of one of my current builds while trying to clean up glue squeeze out after clamping on the bridge. Oh, the shame. I knew my mistake the second I tied off the surgical tubing that was being used to clamp multiple cracks and breaks that ran halfway down the neck of this Early 80's Guild D-55. I'm working on a repair to a Washburn EA50 headstock. Someone previously tried to repair this with a dowel, which likely worked until it was strung up. I've routed a slot and created a biscuit, and built a jig to hold both parts of the headstock in the same plane and clamp everything tight (some cauls and threaded blocks of maple with 1/4-20 machine screws). Anyone got any good tips for regluing a brace in an acoustasonic strat? I can get in there with a magnet and little violin clamp, but can't get effective pressure all the way down with those. Does someone make small scissor jacks? The gap between the top and back is 1.25 inches, so I can't fit even our cut-down normal one.
