Hey there fellow Looths! I'm still learning and just starting my luthier journey, but I'm serious about it and want to design and build my own workshop. I have space for a 4mx4m (13x13ft) workshop. Required 30 minutes of heating with the Ian Davlin design heat sticks at 3 amps, periodically removing one and injecting a few cc's of water. You can see from the burn marks I missed the location of the outer edge of the dovetail. When it finally lets go the neck tips up, but does pop out because there is glue under the "tongue".

This was a large bed frame with end tables built almost entirely from sold boards from "The Tree". Having been a bed frame with cabinets and drawers there are lots of fastener holes and such to work around. Customer brought in on this '70s Gibson Heritage acoustic with severe bridge damage. I need to replace the bridge, but I don't have the tools to cut or design one in shop. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't help but think how building a similar design into a guitar would help stiffen up the transverse brace and aide to prevent distortion from string pressure.

Breedlove Roots D/SRH (basically an HD28V) on the bench with a non functional trussrod. Wrench will engage, but the nut just spins and no change in relief in either direction. Pretty sure the nut is stripped at the rod end, but due to the neck block design, there's no way to access it without pulling the neck. Anybody ever replace a trussrod in one of these? Hi all, I have my next bass guitar design on CAD and in drawings. My designs are pushing the size envelop. I would like to have a good thorough review of the design for strength at the neck/body union, playability as string spacing is 13mm and neck is very narrow (1.6"), string pitch at the headstock, strength at the headstock/neck union etc. I'm willing to compensate for your time. I'm the proud new owner of a "new to me" Fireball Meteor CNC machine. It feels really odd to have a computer in the shop but I guess I need to get used to that.
