HI EVERONE! I just found a sealed box ready to ship that must have been sitting awhile. In it I found a new "signed" Opti-visot with t double lenses as the one I use I know it was ready to ship to someone, and I think it was a LG person. If you are the person that I promised to send this too, please let me know. Thanks, Dan Erlewiine
Straight Frets in Austin has an excellent full-time position opening up soon. The job pays by the job, and equates to $70-85K a year for a tech that does: *neck resets *structural repairs *bridge making/reglues *refrets *headstock breaks with splines/airbrush We work on about 1,350 guitars a year (about 28-30 a week) and have had work shipped in from 22 different states at this point. We also teach setup classes on…

Hey all, Just wanting to get an idea of what peoples experience has been like buying bone blanks from S.F. International. I placed an order back in late February, close to $500 AUD, and 3 months on, they are still yet to ship to me in Australia. I was told over a month ago that the order was ready to ship and since then, I keep getting told "Dispatch tomorrow". Anyone else have this experience and still got their order?
I bought the StewMac fret jaws and am hoping to sell the heavy press. I can't imagine shipping it but if you're in Northwest Alabama come by and buy this from me. Buddy Guy is playing here at the end of the month and we have Jason Isbel and the Drive By Truckers playing here for Shoals Fest some time this summer.
A friend of mine inherited his great-grandfather's National tenor resonator guitar/banjo (I'm not sure which it is). He would like to have it in playing condition. He asked me for a recommendation as to where he could get that done. Fellow Looths, please give me recommendations. It appears to be in pretty good shape. He will ship it where ever it needs to go. There are photos below. Chris Jenkins Images
Hi all, maybe I need to ship an instrument to Taiwan. Are there any colleagues based in the EU who can share some advice regarding reliable couriers, estimated costs, and any specific precautions I should take? Thanks in advance!

Hello! First time poster, long time lurker... I thought you guys might get a kick out of this. I got fed up of having to re-mount my workbench lid after pulling it off a particularly bumpy/cold/hot/anything truck ride and began searching for a mounting system that would hold everything up when the lid was open, but also crucially not fall off when it was closed after the show. I happened upon multiboard, which looked like it could do the…
I have to place an order and need to add a few things to get free shipping. I was going to add some mixol tints. Any recommendations on useful tones for Acoustic repairs?
I have three aluminum Ukulele molds for sale. I was surprised to find them in a thrift store here in Athens, OH. I bought them with plans to refurbish them. They are heated with propane or gas via copper pipe with small holes similar to gas stove burners. i had planned to use new piping but would probably have tried what’s there to see how it worked (being safety conscious of course) The molds are very well made, and I assume are cast alu…
Just wanted to say I bought a chisel through Hyperkitten Tool Company and it went great. It's very old school, ordering and shipping are not a fast process, but if Josh has a tool that piques your interest I highly recommend it. I picked up this long boi paring chisel from the mid to late 1800s and I'm quite happy. https://hyperkitten.com/

Hey Looths! I've got a potential customer in New Mexico who wants to ship me his Carvin bass to my area, Nashville, TN, for some repair work. He was referred by another customer. He reached out to me because he lives in a very rural area and guitar repair folks are scarce. I'll gladly accept the job, but I'm hoping we may have a local solution for him. Is there anyone in this amazing group close to Artesia, New Mexico? Thanks!
Hello everybody! I've got a newer Martin Special 16 (all solid wood with matte back/sides and gloss top) in for some loose braces. Here in Houston I'm used to dealing with acoustics damaged by over-humidification or extreme heat rather than what I often see addressed in the group by you wonderful folks in your colder (normal) climates. My customer had this guitar shipped to him from Wisconsin, and I suspect it was exposed to some extreme…
