This guitar does not have a dovetail. It has five dowel. Three in line and two at the top on either side of the truss rod. Remove truss rod nut before sliding neck straight out.

Hello, I am building a bass VI for a customer. As with a Fender Bass VI he wants a control plate with 4 slide switches. 1 on/off switch for each of the 3 pickups, but with the 4the switch he wants to control the phase of the middle pickup. Any suggestions as how I should wire that? thanks!

I usually make my own bobbins/flatwork, but since this is my first set of blades, I went ahead and purchased some bobbins to see what they're all about. I have an epiphone 335 style guitar on the bench right now. Bad fret buzz on the first frets. No relief in the neck. Pretty Clear its a trussrod adjustment and out the door it goes. But the truss rod is stripped out pretty bad. My 4mm allen fits, in but it has a lot of wiggle. My 5/32" allen doesnt slide in all the way. I dont have a full set of torx wrenches. Hello -- I am trying to joint a Tele-style mahogany neck blank. I have a Metabo planer in good condition, but no jointer. I secured the c. 40 mm thick blank to a flat plywood sled and shimmed it well. It's hot-glued in place, and absolutely no rocking from any corner or edge. I'm building a guitar where the client wants to use a three way slide switch (DP3T) instead of a three way toggle switch (DPDT) for having a series/split/parallel wiring configuration. I'm looking for advice and feedback on this touch up. It's my second one of these carbon fiber fabric repairs, my first turned out much better. I used the powdered pigments to match the color of the original wood, which was exposed along the margins of my repair, then I used glass slides to match the color of the lacquer. Has anyone ever tried a Martin Keith style neck joint? I am thinking of using it on my first acoustic guitar using standard t track. I am curious if there are any tricks or tips to its successful implementation as I can only find limited information on it.
