Wood Pergatory and Storing it for Future Use
Greetings and thanks in advance for your help.
I live in one of the most inhospitable places in the world for wood storage (Mojave Desert CA) and later this year will be moving to another more inhospitable place (Sonoran Desert, Buckeye AZ). The realative humidity is currently 16% and that will drop when summer comes.
I'm attempting to collect and store wood for future builds and today I spent some time wrapping all of it in seran wrap. I plan to store it on shelves I've built in the garage. Haven't done any stickers yet and not sure if I should. Is wrapping the wood in seran wrap ok? Storage advice and suggestions would be welcomed and aprreciated.
I have acquirded the following wood so far:
> 3"x4" billets of Mahogany (neck blanks)
> 1"x4" boards of Spanish Cedar, Maple, Mohagany, & Walnut (neck blanks)
> Small billets of Ebony for fretboards.
> Ebony and Rosewod peghead veneers.
> East Indian Rosewood back/side sets
> Spruce top sets
