I’ve spent a few overly caffeinated days bouncing between modelling environments, different combinations of operations, tools.. subtle differences in how the coffee is brewed.
In short…
• Building Iso Curves in Sketch. Defining the surface structure and flow
• NURBS Surfacing from curves, smooth intentional surface topology.
• BRep Face to T-Spline in Form Environment. Organic refinement and continuity tweaking.
• Conversion back to solid, BRep, as final manufacturable surface.
In long..
The curve network is built in the sketch environment, defining how the surface is going to flow, and where the topology is going to sit.
From those curves, I create smooth NURBS surfaces, controlling the continuity between them so the joins are continuous.
Surface quality checking out, I convert it to T-Splines, so I can push and pull the form more organically. Refining the surface in ways pure NURBS Surfacing makes difficult(especially without Projected Isoparametric Curves) while still maintaining the continuity I built in.

When the form is right, it is converted back to a solid BRep. The final output is a clean manufacturable body that has the precision of parametric modelling but the surface quality of Class-A Surfaces.
