I've owned this Jersey City made 12-string/drone 'harp' guitar for a few years and want to get on the repair. I've taken the necks off many dozens of Schmidt-made guitars but never one with two necks. I've searched the web looking for harp guitar neck removal and didn't find anything of use.

Asking for any tips/aids/experience from the loothers.

My plan is to make a custom neck removal jig that fits the necks, and then drill the typical two holes in the 12-string neck and use my heat sticks to get that joint hot (traditional dt). At the same time I'll likely drill a hole about where the pocket is on the drone neck for another heat stick, then heat both at the same time and ease them both out at the same time. (The necks are physically jointed btw, so can't be removed separately).

From there, I'll just change the angle of the 12-string neck in the usual way, doesn't need too much, and see how the drone neck fits. The action on that neck is not an issue, since its not fretted (I guess?) If there's some torque involved due to the 12-string neck change, I'll adjust the drone neck to fit.

I've thought of shaving the bridge, which would be easy, but it's such a cool and super rare guitar that I decided to it the 'right' way.

1. Has anyone done this type neck reset? ...any tips?
2. Any suggestions from the readership?
