Misalignment of neck, pickups, bridge, tailpiece...
Hey everyone, I had a general question about when a guitar has a misalignment of components. I'm working on this old Japanese electric guitar and the neck/fretboard, pickup, bridge, and tailpiece do not follow the same centerline. I'm curious how you all approach this type of thing. For example on this guitar, the bridge, pickup, and fretboard all closely line up, but the tailpiece does not. Would you move the tailpiece to be centered even if it looks odd cosmetically? My feeling has always been to get the guitar to function correctly regardless, but I'd be curious what your takes on this are. Thanks!
