Neck re-set shims - male? female?
Hey, just working through a Martin neck re-set and about to shim/re-fit the neck. What are peoples' preferences for where to glue the shims? I know some prefer the female (neck block) sides, and some the male (neck) side. I kind of prefer the male side because adjustment means messing with the shim rather than existing surfaces but I'm interested in hearing any pros and cons...
