How do you all keep track of your builds/repairs?
Hey all.
I apologize if this type of post isn't allowed here but wanted to share anyway.
I've been building a tool called Looth specifically for luthiers and repair techs, and I'm looking for a small group of interested looths to help shape it a bit more before it goes public.
I got tired of managing spreadsheets and decided that it could be simpler and more automated.
The core idea is simple: one place to track every build and/or repair from first cut to handoff, with an automated email sent out at each step/update containing a private link and password that your client can check any time so they're not texting you asking if their instrument is done yet. You document as you go (photos, specs, materials, costs), they follow along without needing an account, and you end up with a complete record of every job you've ever done, including costs tracking (money in vs money out). That's basically it (for now).
I'm keeping the beta small and reviewing everyone personally. If you do builds or repairs for yourself or clients and want early access plus a direct line to actually influence what gets changed/improved, I'd love to have more of you involved.
Founding members (probably ~25) will lock in their price for life regardless of what we charge at launch (definitely going to be A LOT less than some other options available now - think more like the price of a coffee drink vs the price of a nice dinner).
Check it out at https://looth.build and if it sounds useful to you, please drop your info into the form to get an invite link.
Thanks!
