I gave them a good cleaning and sharpened just the smallest one, which took a very nice edge. I need help wiring Lollar Monoliths to coil split each pup at their own 2 way mini switch...client brought it in wired to a card ( based on rough drawing ) said he "tested it"....I had to clean up his wiring and soldering some...both pots, 3-way and 2-way switches are functioning but I get a weak signal when plugged in....what am I missing here? I have a "fender", which I believe is a knock off, in my shop. I didn't immediately catch that it was a fake, but as I worked on it it's become fairly undeniable, in my opinion. Im 6'-6" with hands to match. I can squeeze my hands into most flattops, but a friend asked me to look at his 1930's Tiple. It has multiple back cracks that I can get to with props and TJ's crack system, but there are also plenty of loose braces. Looks like I've got to pop the back off, but I feel the long back cracks should be stabilized first. Would you hesitate removing the back? or is there a way to address the loose braces from out…

I'm restoring an old parlor guitar. I have just discovered that it plays 20 cents sharp. Thats not in and of itself a mystery, usually. I have a Kalamazoo made epiphone with the most extreme fingerboard ramp I have seen. I have the neck dead straight from 1st fret to body joint and get a 1/16 of gap when I run a straight edge from 1st fret to the last fret. The frets average .040" but someone leveled the extension and those frets are half the height. Does anyone have any suggestions for flattening the extension. Clamping a block on it? I'll open by saying I know nothing about varnish finishes, yet. I've seen this Brentrup mandolin with a varnish finish that has extensive lifting/flaking around almost all edges. Is there a process/chemical for consolidating varnish finish like this? (beyond the brute force GluBoost wicking I might usually do) In any of the violin video sessions, has this type of finish repair been discussed?

A new one for me... joint is pretty much centered between 12th and 13th.
