Ian Davlin DiscussionShare Your Repair Content

Share Your Repair and Restoration Content Here !

There are two new sub forums in New Builds and Repair and Restoration called "share your content". Got a new youtube video ? Share it there. Got a new Instagram Reel ? Share it there. Did you just cut a killer new miter and just want to share it ? Share it there. Anything you want to share that doesn't involve a question, share it there. Speaking of which, I should probably share this there.

Oh, you are posting this as a comment to this post rather than a new post in the forum. It would be better if you posted it as a new post so we can tag it etc. Do you need help with that ?

Business Model Presentation Youtube link

I just finished a new video. Its a PowerPoint slide show with scripted narration and commentary by me. The topic is my business model and workflow system. Its about 12 minutes long. Take a look and let me know if you have any feedback good or bad. It's easy enough to edit if there is anything anybody wants me to include that I didn't think of on my own

I commented "Why don't you just replace/crown the low fret instead of taking the time to re-level/crown the entire board?" His claim that "it tak…

I didn't watch the whole thing, but the idea of people accendentally going after low frets because of the fret rocker has been something I've been on about for a while. In gereral, when I level a boar…

shop compressor set up

I am setting up a compressor in my shop almost entirely to spray finishes. I've looked at a lot of youtubes and am now more confused than when I started. I'm currently using a HVLP system but I want to set up a compressor and I know nothing of the filters I see and now I'm learning there is a need to cool the air before spraying. I understand the methods of cooling I see but do I need all this to spray just guitars. I have a 6SCFM…

I solved all of my air line contamination issues with this rig. First step is a basic moisture and oil trap, second is a desiccant based moisture remover, third stage is a high end (very small partic…

Advertising

Anyone ever done any advertising? What things did you highlight? We've got a videographer in our shop for two days next week to record. We are doing several short social media ads and one longer video that will live on Youtube. We have a great local following, but plan to target a 100 mile radius. WE regularly get people driving that far. Curious what you've learned were good things to focus on.
