One of the customer complaints on the Gibson Advanced Jumbo is an unbalanced pickup sound. The saddle that was on it was nowhere near flat and now that I’ve made the new one, it seems marginally better but, the D&G strings are louder and the low E seems a little anemic. Cheap classical guitar with plywood top. I re-glued a bridge on a pretty chewed up top, that then departed with bits of the next layer of plywood. I’m thinking the only way to salvage this is flood the plywood with CA to stabilize then epoxy the bridge. Kind thoughts only please. This is freebie work for a community center.

I performed a fret replacement on a '70's Electra Les Paul, the notes on the G string at the 14th/15th fret have no clarity or sustain, same with the B string on the 13th fret. There is no interference from the frets themselves and is seems like a sympathetic vibration is cancelling out the notes. I used to work without (just pressed) or with Ca on some jobs but ive seen fish glue is kind of the new standard for many looths... What do you use? Pros/cons? I repaired this double neck SG geetar with mahogany splints. Sealed the new hog with shellac, pore filled with ca, more shellac, then a thin layer of Stewmac white color tone in nitro, then a few coats of poly, then Mohawk ultra flo (cuz I can’t buff the neck) . I seem to be getting strange bleed through into the white (it wasn’t there before). Tannins??? Ideas? Thanks
