Does anyone offer repair of guitar cases? I've done a few and it's kinda fun (traditional wooden cases only). With the prices of guitar cases going up, I'm wondering if there might be a market. They are less of a throw-away item at $200 per case. I've had three people ask in the past few weeks: Broken latch, missing handle, loose lining. Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I have some wiring that has come loose in an acoustic guitar as the adhesive attached to the wire hangers has failed after about 1.5-2 years. Normally I would just pop in new ones but I'm wondering if there is a stronger adhesive that can be added instead of just relying on the sticky tape that comes with what is in the included pictures. In the process of evaluating the repairs needed on this guitar I checked to see if the truss rod was working. There is hole in the transverse brace where you would normally insert a truss rod, but all I see is the end of a metal bar with a smallish hole in the center. I tried several allen wrenches that would fit in the hole, but nothing seems to grab. Did they really eliminate the adjustable truss rod on this vintage reproduction? Here'…

i have a 2010 g&l asat bluesboy with a loose barrel jack. which is to say, when a cable is gently unplugged the jack comes out of the body. there is no nut on the inside of the control cavity to hold the jack in place - it looks like the wood itself is threaded. the jack barely protrudes into the control cavity so i don’t see an obviously good way to get a washer and nut on it. any ideas outside of enlarging the hole and installing a jac…

A customer brought a Martin D28 in for an assessment and below is the main issues with the guitar. It has two loose braces and two warped/broken "stringers" along the back of the guitar. So this 46' J-45 came to me at a very very low price as it needs extensive repair. Much that I am confident in, cracks, bridge/bridge plate issues, loose braces and the like. Getting the fingerboard extension off was the hardest part. It required a 1/2 hour at about 230F (measured on the fingerboard surface). The neck join came loose in about 15 minutes using heat sticks and injecting a few cc"s of water every 5 minutes.

I just opened a repair shop and the first repair was to remove a broken 1/8" hex wrench ball end from the truss rod nut of a Turner RB4 Renaissance Bass. Pretty standard dovetail. End of the pocket is right under 15th fret as expected. This one was already loose when I received it. A little wiggling and it came right apart.

Hello everybody, I have a 2001 Guild 12-string in my shop that I suspect got a little too hot in a car. The extent of the damage is what you see here, the two cracks in the top and some warped binding where it meets the neck. I don't see any loose or damaged bracing. I've got a 1970s Harmony Stella parlor guitar and the top seems to be buckling. There is (at least one) loose brace. I assume that there's something going on with the neck block, and that just re-gluing the brace isn't going to fix this. I have no experience removing necks or doing neck resets.
