Series/split/parallel wiring with a DP3T slide switch
I'm building a guitar where the client wants to use a three way slide switch (DP3T) instead of a three way toggle switch (DPDT) for having a series/split/parallel wiring configuration. We're already locked into using the slide switch instead of the toggle, and I didn't previously realize that the slide switch was DP3T so now I'm trying to figure out how to adapt the wiring. I was going to use the series/parallel/split wiring for a DPDT f…
Business Model Presentation Youtube link
I just finished a new video. Its a PowerPoint slide show with scripted narration and commentary by me. The topic is my business model and workflow system. Its about 12 minutes long. Take a look and let me know if you have any feedback good or bad. It's easy enough to edit if there is anything anybody wants me to include that I didn't think of on my own

Blending in a neck break repair.
I'm looking for advice and feedback on this touch up. It's my second one of these carbon fiber fabric repairs, my first turned out much better. Not sure if this is the best place for this, but whatever. I need somebody to check my logic here--I could be completely wrong in my thinking. I'm about to start up my new shop in Ireland, and the humidity/temperature situation is VERY different than the Greater Washington DC region. I will also be unlikely to have as complete control over temperature and humidity as I did in our extremely tight, air-conditioned house in the US. I also k…
Which Total Vise products to go with?
I am a relatively new ”looth”…an amateur/hobbyist at this point, but have recently retired and plan to do much more in retirement. One thing that I am needing at this point is to equip my shop with some better vises and other work-holding equipment. So far I have just used a parrot vise, which has been okay (but not great) for the work I have done so far. I was about to invest in StewMac’s classic Guitar Repair Vise, but one thing I’m r…
Sliding Neck Joint
Has anyone ever tried a Martin Keith style neck joint? I am thinking of using it on my first acoustic guitar using standard t track. I am curious if there are any tricks or tips to its successful implementation as I can only find limited information on it.
