Long story short, Mom's sitting next to her guitar and POW, the bridge pops off taking part of the top with it. Have you ever had a really stubborn bridge plate to remove? I had one not too long ago that seemed to resist wetting with a damp cloth, and subsequently all the heat I could get from my silicone heating pads. I'm working on a repair to a Washburn EA50 headstock. Someone previously tried to repair this with a dowel, which likely worked until it was strung up. I've routed a slot and created a biscuit, and built a jig to hold both parts of the headstock in the same plane and clamp everything tight (some cauls and threaded blocks of maple with 1/4-20 machine screws). Had a monster chip come out with some tape and repairing the chip went sideways. Stripped the 2nd fret and refinished the whole thing. Looking to get some opinions on the color matching. I see a few things from a precious removal i didnt fully get out of the wood with scraping and sanding. But just looking for overall impressions on the color match.
