Someone came to me with an old Gretsch afflicted with binding rot. The cream binding was mostly intact, with some pitting and discoloration in various spots, and only a couple of pieces loose. I’m having problems with a 4 way wiaring for a telecaster. Everything is connected correctly. But it seens like when I’m not touching the guitar it buzzes with just the light pocking at the metal parts

Hey guys, Trying my first bound headstocks and need some advice on how to approach it once I get to my nut area. I usually shape the headstock with a template and leave about 1/8” before the nut untouched so don’t roll the shape I to the nut slot area(aka a bad time). Had to replace the bridge, new one was modeled to the original specs, however the footprint is a little forward and showing some bare wood. I don't really want to pay for another rosewood bridge. After regluing the bridge, I was thinking of a shellac fill and trying to do some like very light color work to blend around the bridge wings. Interested in how y'all would approach such an issue.

This is my second iteration of a gramil that can be used to fully cut the channels for binding and purfling as opposed to using an electric router.
