Hoping to get some input on this touch up. Auxiliary pieces of rosewood were added to cover up the screw holes from a previous bridge many years ago. The footprint of those pieces was scored, in some cases deeply. There were spots where top material was missing. My heat blanket left some blushing in the finish on this 1970s Japanese guitar. The bridge was epoxied on and I got it too hot. I’ve used a heat gun to warm the finish (the blushing goes away) but it comes right back when it cools. Am I stuck with removing the damaged finish and touching up?

I'm looking for advice and feedback on this touch up. It's my second one of these carbon fiber fabric repairs, my first turned out much better. I used the powdered pigments to match the color of the original wood, which was exposed along the margins of my repair, then I used glass slides to match the color of the lacquer. I was wondering those of you in limited space and just use an air brush what your setups looked like. I have a Hoffner bass with a neck that broke loose. The main problem seems to be that that neck was loosely fit and was relying on a thick layer of glue at the bottom of the neck pocket to hold it in place, it looks like some shimming is in order. I’m having problems with a 4 way wiaring for a telecaster. Everything is connected correctly. But it seens like when I’m not touching the guitar it buzzes with just the light pocking at the metal parts

Haven't done any finish work on this yet, just made and installed the patch. Customer is not concerned about perfection, but this poly is extremely brittle and as you can see, it's flaking off left and right. My thought is to stabilize and do local touch up on the perimeter and then spray the patch. Thoughts on technique and medium for this one?
