Hi Folks
Newbie here so please bear with me. I have a lovely early 90's Yamaha LD-10E acoustic in for repair, I think all solid wood? made in Indonesia and a lovely sounding instrument, however the electrics are letting it down.
The pre-amp has a PCB populated with SMD electrolytic caps. Many of these have leaked and destroyed the PCB pads underneath. Repairing the traces is nigh on impossible so it looks like I'll have to replace t…
Hello- does anybody on here have access to a trans-trem equipped Steinberger who could measure the location of the trem cavity for me? Like the distance from the zero-fret to the front edge of the trem unit perhaps? That would be great!
Can’t find anything online. Apparently there’s a website that has schematics of one but it’s all in German. So if you speak German that might work too!
Hello all, A customer dropped a recent American Professional II Strat to have a Double-tap humbucker installed at the bridge. I rewired the guitar following Fender's schematic (see below) and installed a stacked 250 and 500k volume pot, treble bleed PCBs and push-push coil split/tap for this pickup. All went very well, until I tried it at switch position 2. Sure enough, the new unit does not play well with the others and combining delive…

Understood. Plus the pole spacing is slightly different also. Just tossing out troubleshooting ideas.
Friends, I am looking for a wiring schematic that shows how to set up 2 humbuckers, each with their own Volume pot -- no Tone in this circuit. Everything I have has some type of Tone control in the circuit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi there! I am trying to find an schematic to make a circuit I'd like to try. That would be the Gilmour neck PU always on Strat Mod but in a way that connects that extra pickup in series with the rest instead of paralel like in the original gilmour circuit. The thing is I don't even know if it possible to do it that way or how many switches woud you need to do it in the simplest possible way. If you have any feedback, clues, tips or whate…

I should mention for completeness that it is possible to rewire the internals of the pickups in order to add a separate wire to act as the pickup's ground/shield. It tends to be a pretty fiddly job th…

My name is Dan, and I'm an amplifieroholic. Bought this one recently, as non-working amp, looking to up my amp tech chops. It's clearly been worked on - looks like all but two eyelet board caps have been replaced, the original firecracker filter caps still in place, and a whole lot of weirdness with resistors throughout the amp. Broken resistor leads coming of V4 pin 2 could very well be the proximate cause of non-functionality (the amp…

Thanks, Luke. I found a decent gut shot on the interwebs somewhere (probably Reverb). Along with the schematic, I was able to generate a layout (attached). With this in hand, it should be relatively e…
Hey, gang. I was wondering if any of you were familiar with this guitar’s bass contour control. I’ve yet to find accurate schematics. I bought it around 2009. Any help would be appreciated.

I am familiar with it. It's not exactly their idea. G&L has used this in their circuits, so you might have some luck looking at G&L wiring diagrams. A master bass cut tone control is typically a 1M re…
