1950s Gibson LG-3

Hi, I have a 1950's Gibson LG-3 that's had some poor work done to the spruce under the area of the bridge where the spruce has pulled away and or been sanded excessively. It's missing about .020-0.30 thou of spruce and I'm wondering/looking for advice about how to go about splicing in a thin piece of spruce before I re-glue the bridge. Please see pictures attached. Missing soundhole braces Gretsch 6021 Town & Country Rancher flattop

A customer recently brought in a 1950s Gretsch Town & Country Rancher 6021. In addition to two main ladder braces being loose/cracked, it’s missing the two braces on either side of the sound hole (see photo). Because this is such a wide instrument (17” lower bout), I’m thinking that installing those missing braces will help with the stability of the top, which is pretty sunken right now. Gluing Martin Alternative X Aluminum top back on???

I have one of those aluminum topped Martin Alternative X guitars in my shop where the top has broken free from the linings and braces. Does anyone have any idea what would be the best glue to use for this situation? Thanks!

Wow, integrated braces in a single piece aluminum top. That is intreguing. How does ot sound? Was the top domed? Have you ever done any guitar analysis on it? if not, check out Giuliano´s videos here…
