which frets for LP Delixe 70s
Hi, I am still a little confused by the new look of the forum, hope this is the right place to ask. Which fretwire would you recommend for a refret of this 70s LP? The current frets are 2.75mm wide, but dressed down to 0,35mm height. I have heard storys about frets that are this low but never seen in real life before :-) (0.108" wide and 0.014" height). Thank you in advance :-)
1973 Jazz Bass Refret Issues with Pulling Frets
Looking for some guidance here – I have a 1973 Jazz Bass with maple fretboard and fretboard binding in for a re-fret. The finish is of course built up thick and crackly along the frets, and although they’re not seated too nicely, the first few came out really tough and chippy even after scoring the finish really well. I’m aware that Fenders were fretted sideways until 1982, but because of the binding, pushing them out sideways is not an…

Maton EBG808C TE fret choise
Hi everybody, I have a Maton EBG808C TE Tommy Emmanuel Cutaway Ebony Fingerboard in my shop for a setup but the instrument is also in need for a partial refret. The customer agreed to do that. Now, is there someone here that did this before that can help me to choose the right fret type for this job? On an average I have 0.080" width and 0.040" height for the original frets Thank you :-)
Untangler Pro, approaching first production batch
Hi everyone, I am getting closer to finalising the specs for the first production run of the Untangler Pro. The Untangler Pro is made of stainless steel, and it is designed to clean up the underside of fret?s overhangs after clipping away the tang. It works with a Dremel or similar tool and a cutting wheel. The order for the parts needed for the first run will most likely go out next week, so if you want one, now is the time. You can mess…

Refretting a Stella Harmony from 1964
61 year old Stella Harmony with brass frets. Fret board is poplar. It needs refretting and I want to try doing it myself given the cost of the guitar was $70 bucks, hiring a pro will cost way more. Any recommendations on Fret wire? I can't find Fret wire that is an exact match. Current frets are 1 mm wide, a hair over 1 mm high and the tang looks to be 2.5 mm deep. Has anyone regretted one of these guitars?

Fretting a fret slot that won’t hold the fret
Hey all, I’ve got a Prewar Martin on my workbench (1932/33 0-18) and this thing has unfortunately been through the guitar center wringer. I’ve had to reset a fretboard that was glued down with Gorilla glue and as well, rejoint the neck and underside of the fretboard. I had to repair a large deal of tear out that was sitting underneath their fret job and because of that I now have a brittle fret slot all up the board that will not hold a fr…
