Anyway, all work was going fine till testing the rod... i discovered that the rod is working the opposite of how it should function on any other guitar. Hello, Looking for any suggestions for replacing the missing hex nut on a Pedulla Bass. This is not a standard size and from limited past experience this is fixed to the end. A flat 5-6 mm nut seems to fit but not securely without removing material under the nut shelf. Thank you, Mark Images

Just discussed this on another forum topic and realised that it might be useful to make more general. Music Nomad have a very handy database where you can check on the size of truss rod adjustment for heaps of different brands and models. https://www.musicnomadcare.com/How-To-Advice/Truss-Rod-Wrench-Finder/ I've referenced it a few times and have found it to be accurate.

I wasn't asked to fix this, but a guitar that came across my bench with an issue I've never dealt with before. Curious what the best way to approach to get this back in place? My educated guess is, apply heat of some sort and use a soft jaw plier to yank it free? Then sand/clean the exterior before re-inserting and using some sort of wood block for the final pushes into the channel?
