Incoherence between CAD and test-piece
Good morning everyone,
I was taking some measurement on production necks with scarf-joint (13° headstock angle) to add some machining process with the cnc.
I so recreated the standard neck blank feature (100mm wide and 20mm thick), then drawed the 13° angle. Everything correspond the to the real piace but two measurement: the startingcut behind the break angle is ''off'' by 20mm +/- as well as the cut on the bottom, still off by 20mm +/-
How is this possible? I measured the neck with a digital angle caliper and the angle is 13° straight. As well as the CAD of course.
In the image attached, the 2 yellow line represent the cuts, and are those I'm referring to.
On the real piece, the top line is 70mm and the bottom 84.5mm.
On the CAD, the top line is 93.5 and the bottom line 93.5
