I had a customer that wanted a blower switch installed on his James Tyler HSS style Strat. Simple enough, except that he wanted the full humbucker to go through the volume pot as well. This is a local musician's main acoustic. It's a 2014 Gibson J-29. As you can see the bridge was lifted when I got it, and the top has been pulled up into a bulge. The bridge came off pretty clean, but I noticed how the spruce broke behind the pins. I recently did a rebuild on a Strat where I went with 2 pickups and a 3 way switch. Goal mess to have an independent volume for each pickup and a master tone. I also added a coil split for the bridge. I went pickups direct to volume pots, pots to the blade switch, and out of the switch to the tone, then to the jack. Hi. I recently got a strat where the middle pickup cuts out intermittently. I cleaned and, using a multimeter, tested all the components. As far as I can tell the pickup itself has an internal break somewhere. After testing the components I wired the middle pickup directly to an output jack. Tapping the top of the pickup caused the output to toggle on and off. I also re-soldered the leads at the pickup eyelets but that didn't resolve the…

I have an Epiphone explorer that suffered a vertical neck break in shipping. I'm in the middle of repairing the break a la Ted Woodford's remedy. My question is, what would be the polyurethane you'd recommend to cover the break?
